Do what you do best. But remember that if you are teaching gifted kids, they are 2yrs. or more cognitively ahead of their chronological age so you have to keep them interested. Review some of your Gifted ed. college classes.
I commend you for doing this – we are failing our best students by emphasizing this "leave no child behind" thing. all nice and everything, but the future lies in the kids who are gifted and talented – they are our future leaders. We are failing to educate them. When we have a President who give a decent speech without some faux pas, where have we failed in our education system?
AS for the Humanities – forget You are in an area where is appreciated. Use that info in your integrated curriculum and units.
